The Boys Are Back [2009]

The Boys Are Back is a Drama | Family movie and was released in November 2009. It's a story of a father having a hard time raising his child after the death of his wife. The movie presented lucidly some points about single parenthood as a father, however, it focused more on the bond between the father and the younger son and a minimal exposure with the older son since there were two sons involved in the parenthood. The movie had been nominated a couple of times. This is a not so good movie. I'll have a 5/10 rating for this movie.

Beautiful Kate [2009]

Beautiful Kate is a Drama / Mystery movie of a writer who returned home by the request of his sister to say farewell to his dying father. The movie started with Ned recalling their past with his brother and sister together with the events that made him blame his father for some things done. This is a good movie. Has won the IF Awards and was nominated ten times by Australian Directors Guild, Australian Film Institute, and Inside Film Awards.
