Armored [2009]

Armored is an Action | Crime movie and was released in December 2009. Plotting a heist against their own company, a crew of armored transport security firm employees aimed to steal a truck containing loads of money to live their dreams and be off with life. Though the plan seemed perfect, a newbie war veteran guard was coerced by his godfather-like senior employee to be part of the group. However, this leads them to unexpected turn of events and deadly encounters.

You Kill Me [2007]

You Kill Me is a Comedy | Crime | Romance movie and was released in July 2007. Ben Kingsley got his funny side quite amusing in here and their tandem with Tea Leoni is pretty effective too.

What the movie failed is that the comedy and drama part were quite mixed up and seemed not have settled down to what it should have portrayed.

This movie was nominated and won a couple of awards in the Prism Awards and Satellite Awards. I'll have a 4/10 rating on this film.

The Cove [2009]

The Cove is a documentary film and was released in August 2009. The gutsy infiltration showed in this film of exposing the vicious undertaking of natural resources was such a bold move. The team and the production had done great in this documentary.

This film at first glance was quite like a random just-OK-film, but after what was revealed in this motion picture it incinerated emotions globally not just only for those who loved dolphins but to all who cared about nature. This film may be very disturbing as it may be considered a crime for a relentless slaughter.

This documentary was nominated and won several awards like, Academy Awards, American Cinema Editors, Directors Guild of America, LA Film Critics Association Awards, and many more. This is a great documentary and is recommended to be seen, but not for weak stomach. I'll have an 8/10 rating for this film.

In The Valley Of Elah [2007]

In The Valley Of Elah is a Crime | Drama | Mystery movie and was released in September 2007. Having three acclaimed casts in the setting would cause overlapping clatter of roles when not managed well, however, this film was finely directed and organized. And, let's say - did bring a nice dramatic movie.

Hank (Jones) was impressive in his role as a father and as a former military policeman were emotions battles against wit. Emily (Theron) also did very well, honestly, that was the kind of detective we should have, and Joan (Sarandon) added heavily to the elegiac of the scenes. In summary, they were magnificent in every role portrayed.

What this movie failed is that some twists seemed to be forced to be realized. Like how Mike, Hank's son, would portray the message he had, and the brutality of war brings in on people. Though limited, if none, political views were showed the plot was properly aligned to series of events to get the truth in the expense of pain, grief, and to some point denial.

This film was nominated and won several awards like Academy Awards, Prism Awards, Satellite Awards, Venice Film Festival, and many more. A very nice movie indeed. I'll have a 7/10 rating for this film.

From Paris With Love [2010]

From Paris With Love is an Action | Crime | Thriller movie that was released in February 2010. This action-filled movie quite had a simple storyline of a couple of agents trying to stop a terrorist attack in a public area, this time it's Paris - the one with the famous tower.

The tandem between John and Jonathan was effective. The novice, egoistic and ambitious James (Meyers) was trying to cope with the seasoned, cranky and freaky Charlie (Travolta).

What this film failed is that when gathering information to uncover the attack, the source would often be the downtown gang's alley, where drugs, money, and illegals are usually located. It may seem to be very common for a scene.

This is a good movie for a stop-a-terrorist-attack film. I'll have a 6/10 rating for this film.

Ninja Assassin [2009]

Ninja Assassin is an Action| Crime | Drama movie and was released in November 2009. It started with how these ninjas were molded into heartless-controlled assassins. Then one transformed elite emerged to be a renegade turning hero. The movie may serve violence and an appetite for vengeance, but it also depicts extreme discipline, brotherhood, secrecy, and love. And the best parts, where I must admit, were the slashing of the limbs, very deadly it is.

The movie packs a bloody and gory action scenes that you might want to set tomato paste and red sauce aside momentarily, a weak stomach might not want to be digesting food, while this movie is up on screen. I think credits also goes to Rain for having the ripped body that went well in the film, it might have been impossible to have his bod photoshopped - LOLS. This is a great movie if you ever dream of becoming a ninja and hog some bloody money. I'll have a 7/10 rating for the movie.
