A Nightmare On Elm Street is a Horror | Mystery | Thriller movie and was released in April 2010. A remake of the 1984 movie of the same title. A group of teens in a certain town were haunted in their dreams by the infamous claw-handed Freddy. As the teens tried to identify this horror in their lives they ought to find a different truth tracing way back from their childhood hidden from them by their parents, they can't go to sleep in any moment. Now, as almost everybody are getting killed and are taking micro naps due to lack of sleep, a couple of those that were left got to do something before Freddy owns them.

Shelter [2010]

 

Shelter is a Horror | Mystery | Suspense movie and was released in March 2010. Cara Harding (Moore) was intrigued about the multiple personality of a man whom her psychiatrist father Dr. Harding (DeMunn) had been observing. At first, Cara was reluctant to take the case of David (Meyers), but after a few assessments, she got curious as to the people and events she uncovered were relating to something paranormal. Then, as she went deeper into the case and was wanting to help David, her faith was put to the test and her family to danger. Now, she needs to solidify her faith and act quickly before crimes further be committed and her family be taken.

Disaster Preparations And Zombies

Never have thought that this could happen outside Hollywood or beyond the widths of the TV screens at your home or the theaters near you - LOL! But here is one shocking post - or should this be an announcement - for disaster preparations and not just to the commonly known disasters but also to the one that could be really disastrous, aahhmmm, well it's according to the tons of reliable movies I saw. And what's interesting is that CDC recommends it.

Siren X [2008]

Siren X is an Adult | Horror | Thriller movie that was released in May 2008. It has been a folktale in some countries about some powerful being alluring people, treating them well, and give them their heat desires, ending in some tragic events like removal of limbs, flesh be eaten, or soul be taken. This time, it's a beautiful, lustful demon in a form of a woman singing attractive songs that men could not endure but succumb to their sexual desires tricked for having their souls in exchange of the pleasure.

What this movie failed is that, the she-demon should have been charming men to fall in line to have an intense moment with her, so as the title described - she could have a daily dosage then. But it seemed that she only sang when a man had actually seen her, there are not much singing scenes either and I can't even hear her voice. It's like being focused more on the "X" side instead of the "Siren" side - I guess that would be a sexy, pretty, and luscious cast be portrayed. She also had followed some guys to some places just to have fun with him - includes the murders - instead of those guys being following her. But maybe, that would a lustful demon could do, especially when she had eyed a stag to play on longer.

This is a not so good creepy and busty film, but it gave me some chills thinking that beautiful women might have intentions as a hungry sensual demon. Just don't let some kids be left to watch this alone - they might get scared. I'll have a 4/10 rating for this movie.

Rec 2 [2009]

Rec 2 is a Horror | Thriller movie and was released in October 2009. This movie was the second sequel to, yes as the name suggests, Rec. This might be a horrifying film that you'll ever see. With an uncommon approach of entertaining the movie-goers, this documentary-like movie is packed with events that are like on live stream and a sequence of recorded terrifying moments as the virus spreads valiantly in the quarantined building through the flesh-tearing vicious virus-affected people. The fact that this film would offer you a situation where in you tend to be part of the event itself is quite what makes this film a great horror of a film.

What just lacks is that the one who hold the camera seemed to be part of the movie but has never been threatened with the horrors. Maybe because it is where the viewer would feel that it will be one's responsibility to control the recording and hold onto it for the film won't be finished if the cameraman leaves the line. Better not watch this film alone for it might give you the creeps unless your the zombie-like fanatic that lurks in your hive waiting for some prowling opportunities.

This movie had won & nominated a couple of times in the Gaudi Awards, Goya Awards, and Catalonian International Film Festival. This is a great horror movie and is really frightened me. I'll have an 8/10 rating for this movie.

Thirst [2009]

Thirst is a Horror| Drama | Romance movie and was released in April 2009 in South Korea. It started when a blood thirsting priest was in love with a girl. They both became blood drinkers and find themselves bound between their romance and their appetite. It had won & has been nominated several prizes like the Saturn Award, Empire Awards, Asian Film Awards, Cannes Film Festival, and many more. This is one good movie of desire and pleasure. I'll have a rating of 6/10 for this movie.

Halloween II [2009]

Holloween II is a Horror| Thriller movie and was released in August 2009. It started with Laurie struggles with some memories haunting her from the past. And, at the mean time, Micheal prepares for a reunion for his sister. This is good dramatic and horrifying movie from Rob Zombie. I'll have a 6/10 rating for this movie.

BigRiver Man [2009]

Big River Man is dramatic documentary of Martin Strel from Slovenia. Did a couple of big river swims a few years ago, like the Mississippi and Yangtze rivers. But in February 01 to April 08, 2007, for a total of 66 days, Martin swam the world's longest swim of 5,268km. (3274 mi.) of the Amazon River. Minding not the safety of the fearsome river not his health being overweight at the age of 52. This great swim of Martin was dedicated to the protection of the rainforest. This movie won the Sundance and Hamptons Film Festivals. This hero have a big heart for this cause.

Zombieland is a funny horror film that hits the screens last September 25, 2009 and was released on December 29, 2009. It has a runtime of approximately 87 minutes. Started from a contagious virus then became United States of Zombieland to total zombie destruction. With a genre of Action/Comedy/Horror, it did gave me the thrills and the laughs.
