What Happened To Palmbux?

It has been like weeks, probably a month now, I noticed that Palmbux isn't loading the pages and consequently accounts can't be accessed. Being a member, for quite a while, I have been checking this site daily hoping that I could get back into my Palmbux account. However, until now, Palmbux ain't online yet.Though I was just quiet about this before, but now I think something is really wrong about it. Then suspicions and doubts now came flooding, not just from me, but also to other members.

It has been a few months since this has been online, probably more than 2 months.. Man, that was quite a hot grip..

Anyway, this has got into some troubles with the google account which got out of my controls. Unfortunately, as far as I'm concerned, everything's fine now, and so far so good..

Now, I have decided to include some additional finds of mine that I would like to be posted in here, like internet tips and tricks, torrent info, media solutions, and hopefully many more to come.. LOL!

I feel a little lightened shoulder here with this back online..

A Warning From Clixsense

It was just recently that Clixsense made some announcements and some, shall I say, enlightening information. Although this PTC site has been on business for a while now, they still are opting for for further improvements in their website and services - in general, the business.

Here are their advices:

First, they had some issues with proxy servers, and as a solution to that, they would be blocking some proxy addresses in the near future. However, they were open with dynamic IP addresses provided by the ISPs.

And, secondly, they had reminded the members to be careful with PTC sites. Many and so many PTC sites were reported to be bogus and has been tricking people for money. The most important thing between the PTC site and the members are the accounts that connects the two in to conduct business. If these accounts are disclosed, many could possibly happen, and one of the great events would be loss of profit.

The image below is the complete message rendered by Clixsense. This reminder may also serve as a warning to everybody so as to keep their guard up, especially when you care about your investment, business, and information.

This is a nice move from Clixsense. And, the promised more improvements to come is very much awaited, especially to the members. Kudos to Clixsense.

Palmbux Is Down

What happened?

It may not be an uncommon event in the internet, especially when a site is a PTC site, that a website would be down. As of today Palmbux is down. That means the site is currently offline and is not accessible. If you try to access the website, you would be redirected to a different web page although the URL or the website's address is correct. Yesterday, when I tried to log-in to Palmbux, I was denied of access a few times and an error was displayed that there was a Network Error then blah blah.. I thought that the site has been blocked automatically, so I had my blocker temporarily disabled. But to no avail, I was again denied a couple more times. So, I just left it be. Then today when I tried to log-in, although the error message was gone a different web page was displayed (see image below).

On the second thought, maybe Palmbux is under maintenance or construction. If that is the case, what would appear would be a web page indicating the cause. With this page, it would most likely seemed to have some minor problems in terms with the host of the website.

Here are some reasons why the above web page would come out:

• The web host might have some technical problems. (ironically, i think that page might not appear)
• The PTC site might not have paid dues on the web host. (this is usually the case)
• There is a maintenance in the database or transfer to another host. (this is very common)
  
• There might have been some misunderstandings between Palmbux and web host admins and turned out to have the services of Palmbux disabled. (jerk! such a kiddie act.. lol..)

What to do?

Well, as for members, there's nothing much we can do but to have faith and wait. As far as I have remembered, this happened before in Palmbux and to other PTC sites that have been online until today. Hopefully, this would not take long of a time so we can continue our Palmbux endeavors.

Similar Scripts

It was just recently that I discovered this new ad that was published in one of the PTC sites active in the web today. I wasn't able to notice right away that this new ad was somewhat similar with another PTC site, until when I was viewing this ad and at the same time I was accessing the other PTC site.

High Yield Investment Fund may be using a similar script with Clix Sense. As far as I have known, Clix Sense have been online for a few years now before High Yield Investment Fund went online. Whoever did business first or is making a lot of money, they both have similar appearance.

It seems that recently, a number of PTC sites have been using the same scripts. Those were usually the scripts being used by PTC sites that have been online for a longer period of time now and had probably stood many difficulties all through out. There might be many reasons why this is happening, may be some of these are security, stability, ease, time, and management.

Here are some points of view I have seen in using similar scripts:

Advantages:

• it is easier to have a ready-to-use script than create a new one, especially when the owner knows less of the coding
• the site can run as soon as possible and make money (hopefully)
• owner will have all the focus on the management side rather than the development side
• the scripts were already tested and proven by the older PTC site(s)
• if the older PTC site has been standing still as of today, then the script might have been very effective and may offer security for members (aside from additional internal coding made personally by the owner)

Disadvantages:

• to acquire the script it must be bought
• the PTC site owner don't know much of the codes or the technical aspects of the script
• it might take a longer time to fix technical problems if something goes wrong unless the owner understands the codes
• the PTC site seems not unique (may be copycat)
• it arises doubts, especially when the previous script user was closed

There is nothing pernicious in using a common script unless it's illegal, especially when copyrights is around. What makes a PTC site robust are the facts that the owner wants a fair game, script is fully tested and is constantly checked, usage of other helpful tools for protection, and taking good care of the networks. In the end, whether the PTC site would last or the other way around, it's the intention that counts.

Bigmoneyptc Is A Scam

It has been more than 2 months since I had personally requested a cashout from this PTC site. It was created in May 02, 2009 and would expire on May 02 this year. It has been 9 months since it was launched and has paid more than $230,000.00, Really? Maybe.. Bigmoneyptc is a known PTC site since it is one of the PTC sites that promised for a payment of $1 per ad viewed. Which, by far, exceeded all offers of other PTC sites around. Sounds good, right?

NO! That sounds very good.. I know right away that this is very suspicious, but maybe i was just so curious or was just trying to do something, lol , so I tried it anyway, so as to satisfy my hard-headed feature.. To make the story short, I made it to having cashout and was waiting for 60 days (the length of time to wait for the cold $1,000 USD to arrive), but not even a cent was sent.

What I did?

I logged in today for the last time and viewed my payment history. No surprise, nothing has changed since the day I have requested this cashout.

PROOFS:

• cashout not given
• no response from staff for assistance
• no other payment proofs and mostly negative criticisms
• owner, admin, and staffs are unknown
• an email which is so much alike with that email of another PTC site

This is weird and is very doubtful. How can two different PTC sites have the same email format, the same content and context, and have the same offer? Look at the two images below and see it for yourself.

DECISION:

I'm not going to recommend this PTC site to anybody, unless you're a hard-headed as me. And, I will support those that denounces this PTC site. Bigmoneyptc is a scam, and maybe Grandptc too, which is so very highly possible. Also, I will no longer waste something on Grandptc, I'm really not that hard-headed, lolz..

Paypal Issues In Palmbux

Yesterday, an edit to the post by admin has made some greater hopes on resolving the problem very soon. Paypal had started the year with some issues. With the paypal accounts currently disabled in Palmbux for cashout, members that uses Paypal as payment merchant are uncomfortable with the current situation. Are they that strict? Or is that part of their security measures?

Here's what admin said:
Hmm, maybe today is our happy day? PayPal wrote us now that all documents are okay and verified.

We just need to give them one more proof, that we are really the owners of PalmBux.

Yeah, nice joke, how to proof this?! But dont worry, we make it happen and send them enough proofs tomorrow and call them again if the proofs are okay.

It looks as we will solve this soon

I guess Paypal won't let one of their great customers get lose and turn to some other services. With persistent admin and members, this problem won't be that long to be over.

Registation And Password

The other day, admin announced that some minor problems were now resolved. It may be some effects from the recently DDoS attack. Although, no damage done to accounts and other important files and scripts, having highly security is required.

Here's what admin said:

The past 2 days, password reset doesn't work. And, newly registered members did not get their verification email. Now, both problems are solved.

I also want to mention again that you have to add a secondary password and PIN.
If your account will be hacked and you lost money because you didn't add those things - we wont refund any money.

It's good news to hear that those problems are already resolved. It would prevent distrust for new comers. Also, a good reminder from admin is to add further security to one's account. I think that would increase safety for all member. Palmbux is a great PTC.

What Happened to V3?

A celebration of Palmbux of its success when it started way back a year ago. Along with the news was the announcement of running the new Palmbux version V3. The much awaited new Palmbux site. With this new hard-worked place to continue business with it, a new and elegant V3 went online. Lots of members were excited and happy about this.

After the success of the release of V3 online , the real testing of the new site was on, testing the features with the current numbers of members Palmbux have. With lots of people using the net, many possibilities could have happened. And, an announcement was made today from admin. Three days have passed and bugs were found in V3. Many features were damaged due to a DDoS Attack. With the decisive team, Palmbux used the former version while bugs were to be resolved.

Dear member,

all of you recognized the problems while launching V3. First site was over 1.5 days offline because of a DDoS attack. Then we started V3 and noticed that most of our files were damaged and did not work as for example the view ads or forum page.

All important features and graphics were lost because of this attack. We decided to change to V2 and fix these problems on V3. Right now we' re already working on all these bugs to start V3 in a full working version again.

I just can say sorry - But we will launch V3 and this time it will be big.

It is a better to use the former version while having the bugs of the new version get fixed. A nice move from the Palmbux Team. Hopefully this would not last so long, as features related to ads were also affected in the former version.

Qualitybux Cashout Cancelled

It has been more than a month since I had my first cashout request with Qualitybux.

Please refer to this is the previous post for details.
Is Qualitybux a Scam?

Due to delays in the cashout and some not-so-good reviews about them, I was kinda hesitant to continue my relations with this PTC. Although, with my pending request, I was still optimistic about the cashout. When I viewed my account today, I found out that my cashout request was canceled by admin (image below).

Also, the date I have the request was incredibly wrong, since this PTC had just started this year. But, i guess, I still can't get enough.


So, here's what I did.

I requested another payment. And, guess what, although I was inactive, my earnings increased. That's something fishy. Hmmmm, opt to find some info.

No cash during Cashout!

A few days have passed since the return of Palmbux with its new server. A message from Palmbux Team proudly announcing the success of the transfer to the new server. Refer to my previous post for info about this. Palmbux is back!

As was claimed, there still have some minor problems that are needed to b resolved. Now, one of the problems, which I noticed when I was about to cashout, a prompt appeared that surprised me with its message. All payments are currently disabled. I was about to send a support ticket when I browsed at the forum for info and I saw a post about it. I knew that it only did not happened to me.

Although, I'm not dismayed for not having some cashout today, I knew they won't keep my earned money. This might have been temporarily disabled due to some minor problems that are to be resolved. I think this is a good move from the Palmbux Team to prevent further bigger problems which might arise when money is on the line.

Palmbux is back!

After a few days down because of new server transfer, Palmbux is now back to business. Although, there were a few bugs found that slows down the site, the Palmbux Team promised that it will be fixed in no time. Just like what they always did. Eventually, everything seemed fine today, except that, banners and smileys are not yet showing up. Well, i guess I'll just wait until this would have resolved. I believe in the Palmbux Team. And yes, it's a lot faster than the previous server. Horray!!!

This new server is a lot faster than the previous one in terms of viewing ads, renting refs, site browsing, etc. Many are now happy with this new event of Palmbux. I hope this just won't be good for a start, but this would maintain like this. Another good job from the Palmbux Team!!!

Cross Browser Security

This feature have been running in Palmbux for a while now. I just thought this might be nice to post this pretty feature, yeah I find this nice. This is called the Cross Browser Session Tracking which was just implemented last September, which is one of the new security measures of Palmbux.

How would this work?
Simple.. If one would try to log-in with different browsers at the same time, it would be detected. And the outcome, would be a 30-minute ban from logging in Palmbux.

What should be done?
Now, all members are requested to follow one usage guidance after logging in, it is to click 'Log Out' before leaving PalmBux site.

This feature might be a little bothersome if you forgot to click the Log Out link.. Actually, I was banned for once, and had learned my lesson.. It's funny when at the same time you were banned, referrals would be available, or bonus ads would come out.. It really pays to follow rules, sometimes, lolz.. But recently, I have noticed that this feature might have been lessen the degree of banning.. If you let your opened account left for a few more minutes without activities in it, the feature of auto-logout would override, and when you try to access the site, you'll be prompted with the login page without the 30 minute ban. Well, maybe I have just left the site unattended more than the alloted banned time, so that's what has prompted me..

Server Downtime

There was a server downtime last October 20, 2009 at Palmbux. Many people got worried, but not furious, about what had happened. After the server have recovered and is online, The Palmbux Team posted a thread in response to what had happened the other day. Many were glad that Palmbux is back, and showed full support with the team. Many also were disappointed with had the hosting provider did.

Here's what the Palmbux Team said,

Hello,

Last night the Palmbux - Server was shut down by our Hoster. Unfortunally we reached the Bandwith limit for this month, just 5 hours before the new paid month started...( the server-month is allways 20th to 19th of each month!

It´s unbelievable that the Hoster stopped the Server, just for these 5 hours... We pay alot for the server - and the new month was already paid - so normally there was no need to interrupt the service...

We are really very disappointed with this hoster - and now we´re gonna change to the new server asap!! The new Server has a lot more Power and unlimited data-transfer. So this won´t happen again. The actual server was back online on midday already - but, to make it fair for all users, we decided to let the Site offline till 0:00 hrs server time.

So, the Site was off for 24 hours - all users will have one day added to their refs and memberships. Also, all users have the necessary clicks added, to be credited for your refs clicks today!!

We are really sorry and apologize for this issue !!

But - we didn´t even think that our actual hoster would treat us this way....

Anyway - all those server-issues of the last weeks will be solved with the server-change and the new Version V3 - probably in 10-15 days!!

Server downtime 20th October

It is a very great decision to move to another server. The upcoming V3 of Palmbux is a much awaited. It is just about 10 days to 15 days wait for its launch. Many are excited about this and just can't wait to have this. If we have these kind of Technical Support, then these new features will be a lot better than the previous.
